A Heartbreaking Discovery

Suzette Hall, the incredible founder of Logan’s Legacy in Irvine, California, got the call. A dog had been left behind after a family moved out — trapped, dehydrated, and nearly invisible from the street. Suzette immediately contacted her friend Kym Marie, who didn’t hesitate. She went to the house to see for herself.

What she found was devastating.

Hidden away, in a sweltering corner of the property, was a frail dog who looked like he’d all but given up. “He had almost given up, left behind after they moved away in the tiniest spot where no one could see him,” Hall later shared on Facebook. He hadn’t had a single bite to eat or sip of water in nearly a week. He was barely holding on.

Kym rushed to feed him — his first real meal in seven days.

Once they gained a little of his trust, Hall and Kym gently lifted him into the car. What happened next said everything. As he settled into the seat, this little fighter — so weak and weary — wagged his tail.
