Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich has suggested that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are experiencing a notable drop in popularity, as reports emerge that their multi-million-dollar deal with Netflix may not be renewed after its five-year term.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed the high-profile partnership with the streaming giant in 2020, shortly after stepping back from their roles as senior members of the British royal family. The deal was estimated to be worth over $100 million and aimed to produce documentaries, films, and children’s programming under their Archewell Productions banner.
However, Fordwich believes the couple’s influence has significantly waned, citing a lack of impactful content and growing public fatigue. “What have they really produced that resonates globally?” she questioned in a recent interview. “Much of their content has revolved around personal grievances, which may have lost them the support of audiences who initially sympathized with their story.”
Insiders close to Netflix have reportedly indicated that the company is unlikely to renew the deal once it expires in 2025, unless the Sussexes can deliver more commercially successful content.
The news adds to mounting speculation about the couple’s future in Hollywood, as they continue to seek relevance in a competitive media landscape.
