RH “WATCH: Cowboys rookie Elam is making waves at training camp — his bold performance has fans and coaches buzzing!”

Cornerback is still a glaring pressure point for the Dallas Cowboys, but Kaiir Elam has done his best to alleviate those concerns. That won’t happen until Trevon Diggs or Shavon Revel Jr. return to the field, but Elam could not have scripted a better start to life in Dallas.

Arguably the bigger winner of OTAs and minicamp, Elam has picked up right where he left of. In the second practice of training camp on Wednesday, Elam came down with a diving interception on a Dak Prescott pass that was intended for Jalen Tolbert.

Marshawn Kneeland grabbed the first interception of camp on Tuesday, but Elam’s clears that in terms of difficulty and style points.

Kaiir Elam is already turning heads at Cowboys training camp

It is WAY too early to say Elam has locked himself into a starting role, but he is undoubtedly one of the favorites to start at outside cornerback.

Acquired in a trade with the Bills in March, Elam exploded onto the scene in offseason workouts to the tune of recording a pass breakup in every team drill during OTAs and minicamp. The one caveat? He dropped a couple would-be interceptions. He made sure to hold onto this one and he parlayed it with a lengthy return until he was forced out of bounds.

A first-round pick by the Bills in 2022, Elam badly needed a fresh start after he was thrust into action in Buffalo’s playoff loss to the Chiefs in January. He was predictably picked on by Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes after subbing into the game for starter Christian Benford, who suffered a head injury and did not return.

Elam was often critiqued by Bills fans for his lack of consistency. While he’s not blameless, it’s hard to ask a player to be consistent when they are in and out of the lineup.

Well, the 24-year-old has been a model of consistency early into his Cowboys tenure and he’ll have every opportunity to carve out a big role in a secondary that is currently down Diggs, Revel and promising youngster Josh Butler, who could miss all of 2025.

Elam has made the most of his opportunities so far and it is really anyone’s guess when he’ll come back down to earth.

RH They canceled Stephen Colbert without warning — just days after he mocked a $16M backroom deal. No press conference. No farewell. Just silence. But silence doesn’t sit well in late-night.Now Jimmy Fallon is walking off NBC’s lot. Kimmel’s breaking his vacation silence. Meyers is rewriting his monologue in real time. And John Oliver? He’s not pulling punches.Something is coming Monday night. And it’s not a tribute. It’s a statement. The networks thought they shut one man down — but instead, they may have started the loudest protest in comedy history.
