NEW YORK (KABC) — A five-year-old piano prodigy from Los Angeles has made history by becoming one of the youngest to ever perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City!

We introduced you to  as he was preparing for his big performance.

Alec started to learn to play the piano when he was just learning to walk.

And Sunday night, he became one of the youngest to ever perform at the iconic venue!

“I was the first performer. I played two pieces, and I was so excited,” Alec said about his performance, sporting a dapper black and white tuxedo. “It’s my dream come true.”

His parents say they’re still soaking it all in.

“It all just felt very surreal. Even until now, we just still can’t believe this happened even, and we’re just so happy for him and the journey he’s been on. He’s worked so hard for it. It’s such a great experience,” Alec’s father Joe Khajadourian said Sunday night.

His dad said Alec is blessed with perfect pitch, which is the ability to identify musical notes just by hearing them.

Congrats, Alec!
