The Very First Song John Michael Montgomery’s Newborn Granddaughter Heard Was One Of His Own

John Michael Montgomery is now a beaming grandfather to a precious little girl, Charlotte Lane Denning.

And while she doesn’t know just how famous her grandpa is just yet – she is already listening to his songs!

Posted in a video on social media this week, John’s son-in-law, Travis Denning, shared that the very first song Charlotte heard was his 1994 hit “Rope the Moon.”

“Rope the Moon” is not only a classic of the country singer’s, it is also special in the family as it is dedicated to Charlotte’s mama, and John’s daughter, Madison every time he performs it.

“I got to pick Charlotte’s first song she would ever hear. At first I felt like I had a lot of options to pick from, but then I remembered I know a guy who dedicates this song to her mama every night he’s on stage. It was a no brainer. Charlotte Lane Denning is here and our lives have never been better,” Travis shared.

Madison & Travis Welcome Baby Charlotte

Travis and Madison welcomed their baby girl earlier this week with two photos. The first showed baby Charlotte wrapped up in a monogrammed swaddle with a big bow on the front. The second picture showed Travis and Madison smiling at the camera while Madison held their daughter in her arms.

In March, the couple announced they were expecting. They shared the news alongside a series of photos that show Travis resting his hands on Madison’s baby bump.

They also announced they were having a daughter, writing, “Baby girl Denning arriving July 2025.”

John Michael Montgomery Is One Excited Grandpa

Travis and Madison’s announcement received a sweet response from John. He shared their post on his Instagram Story and said, “So happy to be a grandpa!“

Charlotte is John’s first grandchild, and Madison is his only daughter. He also has a son, Walker Montgomery, with his wife, Crystal.

John often posts about his family on social media, sharing darling photos of him and Crystal throughout the years, as well as the children.
