DeMarvion Overshown will make his long-awaited NFL debut this season. And when that moment comes, it will be one of the most inspiring comeback stories of the year.
Less than a year ago, Overshown – a promising Dallas Cowboys linebacker – suffered a severe ACL tear in the preseason. For a rookie, that could have been the end of his NFL dreams. But Overshown refused to give up.

He fought silently for months, day after day in the gym and rehab center. No spotlight, no applause. Just perseverance, steely resolve, and the belief that the day would come.
“Good news from the doc! We’re going to be active this season,” he posted on Instagram.
It was the update fans had been waiting for.

Overshown, the former Texans star, has been working hard on his recovery and has been in Oxnard working with Dallas’ rehab team ahead of training camp. The road back is not an easy one, a knee injury like this takes everything from a player, both mentally and physically.
In the 2025 season, that day has finally arrived. Overshown will don the No. 13 jersey and step onto the field with all the desire, not just to prove himself – but also to tell a story: You can fall, but never give up.

His debut was more than just a game. It was a symbol of resilience, of overcoming adversity. And you wanted to be there to witness it.
