V. David Olajiga Signs with Patriots, Adds Depth to Defensive Tackle Position

The New England Patriots have made a strategic move to bolster their defensive line depth by signing international defensive tackle David Olajiga ahead of the 2025 training camp.

Olajiga, 27, hailing from London, UK, joins the Patriots through the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program, a program designed to bring global talent to the league. Known for his powerful build and relentless motor, Olajiga is expected to provide valuable rotational support alongside established starters like Milton Williams and Christian Barmore.

Head coach Mike Vrabel praised the signing, stating, “David brings a unique combination of size and athleticism. We’re excited to see how he develops and contributes to our defensive front.”

This move reflects the Patriots’ continued commitment to identifying and nurturing talent from diverse backgrounds while maintaining a competitive roster. Olajiga will enter training camp as a roster-exempt player but with the opportunity to prove himself worthy of a permanent spot on the team.

As the Patriots gear up for what promises to be a challenging 2025 season, adding Olajiga to the defensive tackle rotation provides both insurance and fresh energy for a unit critical to the team’s defensive success.
