Running back TreVeyon Henderson has agreed to a fully-guaranteed four-year rookie contract with the New England Patriots, a source confirmed Friday.
Henderson’s contract falls in line with other second-round picks across the league, as recent negotiations have focused heavily on the level of guarantees in the final year of rookie deals. That emphasis came in part due to increased pressure from the NFL Players Association (NFLPA), pushing for greater financial security for young players.
Now that the deal is finalized, Henderson is set to report to training camp on Saturday along with the rest of the Patriots’ rookie class.
A standout at Ohio State, Henderson brings speed, versatility, and big-play potential to New England’s backfield as the team begins a new chapter under fresh leadership.
