TPO – A senior lawmaker has announced that the Senate Armed Services Committee is preparing to hold a hearing aimed at boosting the credibility of the Pentagon’s office responsible for investigating unidentified flying objects (UFOs). The announcement comes just two weeks after a video of a “giant UFO” with “tons of flashing and spinning lights” was posted on Reddit.

At the end of August, several people in Montana captured a strange phenomenon, which they claimed was a “giant UFO” featuring numerous flashing, rotating lights, located about 100 kilometers from an Air Force nuclear weapons base. The witnesses were reportedly shaken—some even trembling and crying due to the experience.

The video of the “giant UFO” with “tons of flashing and spinning lights,” uploaded by a witness on the social media platform Reddit, has attracted widespread public attention.

When some people suggested that the phenomenon might have been caused by Elon Musk’s Starlink communication satellite constellation, the witness immediately disagreed.

“I’m familiar with Starlink videos. We observed the object very closely and could clearly see that the lights were arranged around the silhouette of a large spacecraft,” the witness said.

The man reported that the incident occurred at around 10:00 PM (local time) on August 31, and added that his wife was “trembling and crying from the experience.”

“The photos themselves aren’t frightening, but seeing something with your own eyes—something you truly believe is a massive object in the quiet night sky, flying overhead and toward your home—is an entirely different emotional experience,” the witness shared.

A Capitol Hill investigation is now underway as more U.S. civilians report UFO sightings. Many are questioning the effectiveness of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), a government agency established in July 2022 to investigate reports of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs).

Shortly after the incident, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand—a Democrat from New York—announced that she is working to schedule a major hearing in the coming weeks to publicly disclose information.

According to Gillibrand, the hearing aims to restore public trust in the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), following a series of allegations from within the military claiming that the government has been covering up potential encounters with extraterrestrials.

The hearing will publicly present “a progress report on the number of unidentified aerial phenomena [UAPs] that AARO has assessed and analyzed, detailing what AARO has and has not been able to identify.”

“This hearing is my top priority because I believe transparency is absolutely critical,” Gillibrand emphasized.

She also encouraged the public to report their UFO sightings to AARO’s UFO investigators.
