Caitlin Clark’s Comeback Struggles as Valkyries Rout Fever in Lopsided Win

After weeks sidelined by injury, WNBA star Caitlin Clark made her much-anticipated return to the court — but it wasn’t the comeback fans had hoped for.

On Wednesday night, Clark and the Indiana Fever faced the Valkyries in a game that quickly turned one-sided. The Fever fell 80–61, with Clark scoring just 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting. Her usual energy and sharp shooting appeared rusty as she worked her way back from a nagging hip injury.

“I felt good physically, but the timing just wasn’t there yet,” Clark admitted postgame. “I know it’ll take a few games to get fully back.”

Meanwhile, the Valkyries dominated both ends of the floor, holding Indiana to just 25 points in the second half. Kate Martin and Veronica Burton led the Valkyries with clutch scoring and tight defense, taking full advantage of the Fever’s struggles.

Despite the loss, Fever head coach Christie Sides said she’s confident Clark will regain form soon:
