The Pittsburgh Steelers have had a tumultuous 2025 season, and that’s largely thanks to General Manager Omar Khan. Since Khan took over as General Manager at Steel City on May 26, 2022, he has brought a fresh and bold approach to the team. The days of caution and conservatism are over. Khan has shown a strong determination to build the team and is willing to pay players well to help the team compete at a higher level.

Khan openly acknowledged the increased responsibility he now carries. He understands that Steelers fans and the entire organization expect continued progress and success. Despite the challenges ahead, Khan remains focused and determined to build a team capable of competing for championships. His aggressive offseason moves and transparent communication signal that the Steelers are aiming for a bright future under his guidance.

“Obviously, there’s pressure,” Khan said. “Our goal is to win a Super Bowl, and that’s what I am striving for. I am very appreciative of Art Rooney for this opportunity. I feel like I owe it to him, and this organization and the fans, to do everything I can to win a Super Bowl.”

Steelers fans for the most part are hard to please with anything less than Super Bowl victories. However, many were excited to see Khan secure his contract extension. He has done an impressive job preparing the team for the future while keeping the Steelers in a win-now mindset.
