All Kiki Cupcake ever wanted was simple: a family to cuddle with, a soft bed, and a human to love unconditionally. She didn’t ask for much — just warmth, kindness, and a safe space to be herself. But instead of receiving love, Kiki was used.

And that’s where Gretchen came in.

Gretchen, a longtime supporter of the rescue, didn’t hesitate. The moment she heard Kiki needed help, she stepped up. Together with her husband and the Shy Club team, she brought the scared mama home — and that’s when the healing began.

From Fearful to Full of Love

At first, Kiki Cupcake was cautious. But once she realized she was safe — truly safe — she transformed. The anxious little dog turned into a complete sweetheart.

She became deeply attached to Gretchen, following her everywhere and melting into her arms during cuddle sessions. She even had a quirky habit of running underneath her foster mom’s feet just to feel the touch — her version of a full-body back rub.

“If you pet her,” Gretchen shared with GeoBeats Animals, “she slow-motion rolls to the ground and offers her belly. She just wants love.”

A One-of-a-Kind Girl Waiting for a One-of-a-Kind Home

Kiki Cupcake is… well, a bit of a mystery when it comes to her breed. She has deep forehead wrinkles, a thick, squishy neck, short stubby legs, and tiny feet that don’t seem to match her body. “She’s thicccccc,” Gretchen joked on Instagram.

Curious about her unique look, her foster family even ordered a DNA test. But regardless of what the test reveals, one thing is certain: Kiki is 100% lovable.

She’s a half couch potato who doesn’t love exercise but will gladly go for walks — just to be near her people. And despite everything she’s been through, she has a gentle spirit that draws people in.

On walks, strangers often stop to meet her. Her icy blue eyes, her silly build, and her sweet nature are impossible to ignore.
