The Steelers released photos and details about the uniforms Monday via social media and on their website. The team will wear the new/old threads for the “Sunday Night Football” game against the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 26 at Acrisure Stadium.

“Founded in 1933, the Pittsburgh Steelers ignited a legacy that would come to define grit, resilience and the soul of Steel City football,” read the introduction to the unveiling on the Steelers’ website. “Steeped in heritage, this uniform celebrates both the origins of the city and Steelers football.”
The choice to introduce these retro-inspired uniforms aligns with the Steelers’ deep respect for their history as one of the NFL’s most enduring franchises. The 1930s era was a formative time for the team, laying the foundation for the winning culture that has become synonymous with the Steelers brand. Wearing these uniforms is a nod to those pioneering days, honoring the perseverance and spirit of the early players and founders.

The uniforms will add a historic layer to the Steelers’ game-day experience, creating a visual storytelling moment that highlights nearly 100 years of football excellence.
