Gwen Stefani’s Son Performs At Blake Shelton’s Bar
Gwen Stefani’s son seems to be the next country music star in the making.
On Saturday, July 19, Stefani’s 16-year-old son Zuma Rossdale took the stage at his stepdad Blake Shelton’s Ole Red bar in Oklahoma, where he performed a couple of classic country throwbacks.
It wasn’t his first time on the Ole Red stage, though. The teenager made his debut last year when Shelton announced he would be stopping by his own bar to “grab some food and planned to “hop up and play 3 or 4 songs.”
But fans got an even bigger surprise when Shelton brought Zuma out to perform alongside him.
Now, nearly a year after his first time performing there, Zuma returned. And just like before, Shelton was right there to introduce him to the crowd.
Shelton shared that he and Stefani have always encouraged Zuma to sing in front of a live audience, saying they hear him at home all the time and truly believe he has what it takes.
“So tonight, we also have another up-and-coming artist who’s played here, I think, maybe three or four times now. And it’s exciting for us because we hear him sit around the house playing, and we’re always the ones saying, ‘You gotta get out there and sing in front of people, man; you’re really talented’,” he told the bar full of people.
In a video captured by an audience member, Zuma is seen on stage with an American flag guitar in hand. During his set, he sang a cover of John Michael Montgomery’s 1995 classic, “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident).”
He also wowed the crowd with a fitting rendition of his stepdad’s song “Ol’ Red” in honor of the bar’s namesake.
Many fans left comments on the video, sharing their support for Zuma.
“Seems like he has a great support system with Blake in his corner. Wishing him the best,” one person wrote.
“What a great young man with touch of stepdad’s talent in him he is destined for greatness! Blake I know you and Gwen are so proud of Zuma! Great job buddy,” said another.
“We had the best time Zuma is amazing,” a fan in attendance wrote.
