The New England Patriots are adding a whole lot of heart to the start of their 2025 training camp — and it’s coming with four paws and a wagging tail. When fans arrive at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday, July 23, they’ll not only witness the return of football but also have a chance to welcome a new furry friend into their lives.
In partnership with The Kraft family and the Patriots Foundation, the team is launching a special dog adoption event, featuring adorable, adoptable dogs from across the region. After a successful trial run at Patriot Place in May, the event is back — this time with even more visibility and impact.
“Dana and I have experienced the joy a dog can bring,” said Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft. “That’s why we’re excited to bring this cause to training camp. Every dog deserves a loving home — and we hope Patriots Nation will help us give that to them.”
🐶 From Sidelines to Forever Homes
The event will spotlight dogs from three local animal shelters:
Potter League for Animals
Berkshire Humane Society
Animal Rescue League of Boston (where Dr. Dana Kraft serves on the board)
From playful puppies to mellow senior dogs, fans will get to meet canines of all shapes, sizes, and energy levels — each hoping to find their forever home. The shelters will have volunteers on-site to assist with meet-and-greets, answer questions, and walk potential adopters through the process.
And in a special moment sure to melt hearts, Patriots players will escort some of the pups onto the practice field, giving them the grand entrance they deserve — with a roaring crowd to boot.
