Two points for two years for Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffery!

The WNBA star, 23, posted a sweet tribute to her boyfriend on Thursday, April 24 as the Iowa Hawkeyes alums mark their second anniversary together.

“Another year with my favorite person 🙂 I’m so thankful for you 🖤🖤,” Clark wrote in her caption.

The Indiana Fever guard shared two black-and-white photos of herself and McCaffery, a member of the Butler Bulldogs’ coaching staff, to mark the occasion. The first picture shows Clark embracing her boyfriend as the crowd applauds her performance after a Fever game. In the second photo, McCaffery and Clark have their arms wrapped around each other while a basketball game plays on TV.

The anniversary post was met with congratulatory messages from friends of the couple, including Clark’s former Hawkeyes teammate Gabbie Marshall, who wrote, “CUTEST EVER!!!!,” in the comments.

Current Hawkeye Taylor McCabe said, “mom and dad omg,” and former player Jada Gyamfi wrote, “Happy birthday to my favorite parents😍😍😍 i love you guys.”

McCaffery and Clark started dating in April 2023 when they were both students at the University of Iowa playing basketball. Clark broke records and catapulted into superstardom as a Hawkeye, and McCaffery also played baseball at Iowa, both corner outfield spots and first base.

He started in 22 baseball games as a redshirt freshman in 2018-2019, reported Sports Illustrated, and D1Baseball.com rated him the seventh-best draft prospect in the Big Ten and the 231st-best prospect nationally. McCaffery graduated in 2023 and took a staff job with the Indiana Pacers, which he left in Sept. 2024 to join Butler University as an assistant coach for the men’s basketball team.Connor McCaffery and Caitlin Clark via Instagram.Connor McCaffery/Instagram

Currently, Clark is out of season but the Indiana Fever will kick things off with a preseason matchup against the Washington Mystics on May 3.
