The Independent reported on July 15 that the “hunters” had registered to participate in an event called “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us”.

More than 600,000 people planned to gather at one location before storming Area 51, an area where many conspiracy theories related to aliens exist.

The event was organized on Facebook and is scheduled to take place on September 20. According to the organizers, they can move faster than the bullets of Area 51’s guards and will uncover the mystery of aliens.

US Air Force spokeswoman Laura McAndrews warned that the force is ready to protect the US and its assets. “Area 51 is an open training area for the US Air Force. We discourage anyone from trying to access the place where we train US armed forces,” McAndrews said. However, it is unclear how the military would respond if Area 51 were breached.

Conspiracy theorists have long believed that the US government is holding secret information about aliens and extraterrestrial objects (UFOs) at Area 51. They also claim that the area is used to store UFOs or alien bodies and technology, which Washington denies.

Area 51 appeared in a 1996 alien invasion movie. In the movie, it played the role of an alien testing laboratory, but the actual function of Area 51 remains a secret to this day.

In 2013, the US was forced to recognize Area 51 as a military base based on a request under the 2005 Freedom of Information Act. This is part of the Nellis Air Force Complex in Nevada, covering about 10,000 square kilometers.

In addition to the armed security forces that regularly patrol Area 51, the US military also equips surveillance cameras and motion-sensor cameras to promptly detect intruders.

Since 1955, the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has controlled the runways here and implemented security restrictions.
