According to the Daily Mail on July 1, nearly 400 bodies were found in a house used as a ‘crematorium’ in the city of Ciudad Juarez (Mexico), bordering the US, including 383 intact bodies and 6 incomplete bodies.

Some of the bodies found in this secret ‘crematorium’ are believed to have died 3 to 4 years ago.

‘Most of the victims appear to have been embalmed,’ Mexican authorities said at a press conference on June 30. It is not yet clear why these bodies were not buried or burned.
The bodies are being examined to determine that they are not victims of murder.
Authorities added that many of the bodies appeared to have come from six different funeral homes in the sprawling Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez.

‘This crematorium is run by irresponsible and unscrupulous people who misused the permits for this building,’ the governor of the Mexican state of Chihuahua said.
Several families had previously reported their loved ones missing in the city, which is notorious for gang violence in Mexico.
Authorities have opened an investigation into the incident.
