In May 2023, in Wyandotte, Michigan, a 6-year-old boy named Iziah Hall surprised and amused both the police force and the online community when he called 911 just to order a McDonald’s meal.
Iziah was at home with his grandmother that day. While she was napping, he had the idea of eating McDonald’s, but no one was taking him. So Iziah came up with a “smart solution”: call 911, because he believed “the police help people in need”, and at that moment, he “really needed a Happy Meal”.

When the 911 call came in, the dispatcher thought it might be a child playing with the phone, but out of uncertainty, they sent a police officer to the house to check on the situation. Officer Joe Tuccini was the one who took the call.
When he arrived, he found no emergency, just Iziah sitting there, innocently waiting, and politely asked, “Do you have McDonald’s?”

Officer Joe laughed, then left, but a few minutes later, he did return – with a real Happy Meal. He told the press later:
“I think he was very polite, he just didn’t understand what 911 was for. And that day, he learned his lesson… after he finished his favorite lunch.”

Iziah’s family later shared that they had explained to him clearly when to call 911, and thanked the police officer for his kindness. The story was widely shared and became one of the “heartwarming” moments on local news.
